Question 1

What will the event be like?

Accepted Answer

The entire event is facilitated in a structured manner and will last about 2 hours.
 
Clinicians will be guided through a series of activities and prompts with the intent of  introducing them and their practices to prospective clients.

This is done both as a whole group and also in smaller breakout rooms.
 
Prospective clients will be given the opportunity to learn more about clinicians by using a list of pre-approved questions regarding their practice and professional philosophies. These questions were created with the intention of limiting therapist self-disclosure and focusing more on information that can help them make an informed decision about deciding who is right for their care.
 
Note: Clinicians are under no obligation to answer any question and are welcomed and encouraged to "pass" if they do not wish to answer. Facilitators will be available to assist with any issues that arise.

Question 2

What happens after the event?

Accepted Answer

After the event, all prospective clients will be provided with a complete directory of the participating health care professionals. We will also follow up to remind them to reach out to anyone they are interested in, if they haven't already.
 
As a clinician, we will ask for your feedback on the event through a survey.

Question 3

Is this event HIPPA compliant?

Accepted Answer

In short, no - it is not intended to be a HIPPA compliant event.
 
Everyone who attends the event will sign a waiver acknowledging their understanding and agreement that confidentiality cannot be guaranteed, whatever identifying information they choose to share cannot be kept confidential, and this event is not a substitution for mental health services.
 
One of the facilitators is a licensed therapist and will accept responsibility for any HIPPA related issues that arise.

Question 4

What if any issues arise regarding mandated reporting?

One of the facilitators of the event is a licensed clinician and will be responsible for making any mandated reporting related calls.

Clinicians will have direct access to the facilitators throughout the entire event through private Zoom message if any issues arise that they would like to disclose or be supported in.

Question 5

How many potential clients will be there?

Accepted Answer

We anticipate between 20-40 participants to be in attendance, not including clinicians.

Question 6

Who will be attending?

Accepted Answer

Attendees will include adults (18+) residing in Pennsylvania who are actively seeking a mental health practitioner.

Question 7

Am I under any obligation to treat anyone I meet from the event?

Accepted Answer

No, clinicians are under no obligation to work with any prospective clients.
 
The event is simply meant to be a starting place for meeting and connecting mental health care professionals with those who are seeking mental health care.

All participants will be made aware that there is no obligation to work with any of the clinicians or for the clinicians to work with any of the participants.

Question 8

What if interested, but I'm not available at the event time/date?

Accepted Answer

If you can’t make it, you can still sign up to be included in our practitioner directory that all participants will receive.
 
You can also join our mailing list to get notified of future dates for this event. We’d love to have you participate in the future!

Question 9

If I bought a ticket but can no longer attend, can I get a refund?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if you cancel with at least 14 days notice we will (minus an administration fee).
 
If you cancel with 21+ days notice, your purchase will be refunded minus a $20 administration fee.
 
If you cancel with 14-20 days notice, your purchase will be refunded minus a $30 administration fee.
 
If you cancel with 13 days or less, we will not be offering a refund.

Tickets are not transferable.
